Thank you for the Commissions!
Thank you to all the people who have commissioned artwork from me this year. Most of my 2019 work has been devoted to these projects. It is always a lot of fun for me to get creative with your ideas. Keep them coming!
Summer Fun and Arctic Foxes!
It's been a while since I created something new. That was due to a lot of summer fun, time with family, and, less fun, a bothersome wrist injury. Thanks to a commission request to illustrate a poem, I got back in action today and created Arctic Fox. Dreaming of cooler weather to come! I hope to bring you more new works soon. --Emily

Brightview Tree of Life Project
I had so much fun meeting the other artists participating in the Brightview West End Retirement Community Tree of Life Project Sept 16th at VisArts! This project is "a collaboration between VisArts, Shelter Group Brightview, and the community in the creation of a public art installation for the building façade at Brightview. Featuring ArtWalk and Art at Large Inc.’s Sally Wern Comport’s design for a six story piece of public art, this project incorporates artwork solicited from the community which represents diverse populations and their symbols for life, family, connection, spirituality, happiness, and love." Looks like my art, with many others, will go up on the exterior walls of the new building at 285 North Washington Street! Have fun watching it evolve!
